Welcome
We have been guiding pheasant hunters for 30 years and can provide a very successful and enjoyable pheasant hunt.
We are located in the heart of South Dakota's best pheasant country at the intersection of I-90 and the Missouri River. We are only 65 miles west of Mitchell, SD, the home of a brand-new Cabela's store. Our land is only three miles from Chamberlain, SD, which offers many fine restaurants, excellent motels, and great airport facilities.
Hunt South Dakota pheasants with us and you will join the ever-growing number of pheasant hunters who have made South Dakota their pheasant hunting destination of choice. Lots of birds and extremely friendly people have made the Chamberlain South Dakota area the largest hunting area in the United States. The sheer number of pheasants our hunters see every year still takes their breath away.
We believe pheasant hunting with your friends is one of the most enjoyable ways to sped time in the field. This is why we do not combine pheasant hunting groups unless you do not have a sufficient number in your group. Each pheasant hunting group will have their own professional guide with a trained dog for the entire time you hunt with us. Why hunt in South Dakota?
South Dakota is known worldwide for pheasant hunting and has dubbed itself "The Pheasant Capital of the World", but not unfairly so since over the last several years, more pheasants are harvested in South Dakota than any other of the leading pheasant hunting states according to Live Outdoors.
The plains states have the largest population of birds in the country and South Dakota continues to lead the pack. This popularity is seen by leaders in other states who want to attract hunters. Without the high pheasant population South Dakota boasts, the desire to steal the hunters likely won't come to fruition.
Your pheasant hunt will take place on a privately-owned, multi-generation farmstead with land that has been intensively managed for all types of wildlife with CRP, food plots, wetlands, and standing crops. The hunting service is operated by family and professionally trained dogs that have been it the fields hundreds of times; the knowledge that they have is spectacular to watch.
The hunting area each day is chosen based on knowledge of local habitat, weather conditions, and surrounding hunting pressure to ensure plenty of opportunities for a successful hunt. So, whether you are a seasoned outdoorsman who is used to the rigors of walking cattail sloughs or an occasional hunter who prefers less challenging terrain, we can accommodate your preference.
You will hunt in the traditional upland manner, slowly moving through the coverts of corn, grass, shelter belts, and marsh hay. The professionally trained dogs will find, flush, and retrieve pheasants. Blockers will keep the running birds until the drive is nearly complete. The end-of-field final flush excites all!
In addition to hunting, you can also add a walleye fishing trip.
